4 Quadrants of Life after Marrige ..!!!--From A Husband's Perspective :)

Image
When I was giving my Bank PO exam in 2013, I never thought that a day will come when I will make the analogy that I am going to, today. Bank PO exam used to have 4 sections (don't know if the format has changed). A candidate has to clear not only the overall cutoff but also the sectional cutoffs, to be successful.   When I was getting married, then also I never thought that a day will come when I will make the analogy that I am going to, today.  I think by now you should have got an idea about what 2 things I am about to compare,  yes Married life and a Bank PO Examination .  But the catch is the question: What are the 4 sections of a married person..?? Well I have by my 6 months of marriage had reached to this answer- Four sections of a Married Life are                     1. Household : This includes you, your wife, your brother/sister, your wife's brother/sister, your parents, your wife's...

So we are back again...and what we are doing this time....well I am packing bags for London...some important stuff that one should put in that really comes handy are these : 1. Universal socket: The socket slots in UK are not round as we have in India. They are of rectangle shape and hence you will need this converter more than ever. 2. Umbrella: London rain is like Mumbai rain..it has no time...thus it is always handy to take your umbrella with you. You can purchase it there also but it will cost you 8-10 GBP. 3. Ready to eat food especially if you are vegetarian. All packed up and good to go we boarded our Air India flight. From India to London is a good 8-10 hours flight. Direct flights always cost more than the ones with in-between stop. one can choose either of them based on his/her budget. One can get a round trip ticket for as low as INR 36K, not so pricy right ;). In-flight amenities include Cocktail and Mocktail drinks, lunch, dinner etc. We landed in Heathrow Londo...

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN.......IS IT JUST A SHOW OFF?

Should we be even asking this question? Is it the right question to ask at this moment? Well, I don’t think so. I think even if the politicians are showing off by cleaning places that are already clean but this certainly does not diminish the importance of the campaign to any bit. It certainly does not means that we should not take it seriously. Bharat will be swachh or not it totally depends on our seriousness and politicians did not have much to do in it. If every individual will do his part the campaign will surely pay-off. We don’t need government to keep our homes clean. In the same way, we don’t need it to keep our country clean. The public in itself is capable enough of doing it. Just by being conscious and dedicated towards cleanliness will start a chain reaction in society that will result in a cleaner and greener country. If every individual decides to keep his surroundings clean the change is inevitable. In a few months, we will be noticing it. Also as I have observe...

Recently I got a chance to visit London City. It all started in December. A training was to be imparted to some Delhi Metro employees. Didn't know I will be one of the lucky ones. After the list was declared, started the research work. Questions were straight : 1. Where to stay in affordable rates? 2. How to travel as travelling is something that can cost you more than your hotel bill! 3. How to manage training with exploring the city? I took the initiative to do it for all of us. I fired up my laptop and jumped into the battlefield with all my tools :) As most of the tourist attractions lie in and around Central London I decided the best place to live will be near to it. Our training centre was in Basingstoke City and the best way to travel between the two cities is by South-West Trains. South-West trains ply services from Waterloo Station which is also in Central London. Thus I looked for hotels in Central London Waterloo area. I zeroed in on Travelodge as they were offerin...

Does wide acceptance proves the validity of an IDEA...???

If 6 or 8 or even 9 individuals out of a group of 10 are of a single opinion does that proves the validity of that opinion or idea. Does that means in medieval times when Copernicus was the only one of opinion that Earth is not the centre of the Universe but Sun is, he was wrong(& do not forget he was punished by the Church for this). Does that mean that the principle on which Democracy works that majority decides the result holds firm in all the scenarios?  But as the time tells Copernicus was right and majority was not. This one example and several others prove that the base concept on which Democracy works is very much flawed and incomplete. Majority chooses a politician who is already corrupt or turns out to be one. And it is not that this happens only in point something percentage. Infact quite a large fraction of results are like that.  Then how can we trust on such a concept to decide the course of our lives or of our country's future? Why do we feel so pr...

Story of a BuLLS*It....a very Enlightening one...

Yesterday I watched MADARI. A very nice movie with a good message. Reminded me of A Wednesday. Jimmi Shergil as the main IO of the case was as good as he was in A Wednesday, always a class. He has matured so much since Mohabatein. Coming back to Madari, Irffan really rocks. I have always admired his acting and this time also he proves his mettle.  Madari revolves around the issue of how the Hawks sitting in Government are eating away small birds in the street, that is how Politician nexus is exploiting common men. Well somehow it does portrays the real picture of our country under previous Government. But as far as I am of the view that current scenario is much more hopeful then it was before. It feels like air has less smell of corruption now then it has before. Though I would say that people are trying die-hard to present that the country is in jeopardy. All the news about Dalit atrocities, sectional politics seems absurd to me.  When I observe the society around m...

Just sitting idly in my office chair, the black chair of Godrej make with beautiful sleek design, comfortable back support made out of canvas, great arm's supports and perfect finish. I usually strangely feel out of work sometimes and yet always feel satisfied with what I have. Plus I also feel like some tiger sitting calmly silently in bushes ready to pounce at any opportunity that will come by to satiate his thirst for success and achievements. I sometimes also get confused whether I should be like this or be like those restless sleepless type people who live and die for what they want and desire.  The decision I choose is based upon the fact that which person is more happy and calm rather than who is more successful in career and monetary terms. The analogy that I use most of the times to grasp this concept is -- What is the use of having an Audi or Merc if you are having a severe back pain and you cannot sit in a car. Is not it strange how easily something that you have e...
